The 2025 Mapping of Impact Startups, published by France Digitale, Bpifrance Le Hub, and Mouvement Impact France, has just been released. This annual initiative highlights companies that place social and environmental impact at the core of their business models.

For the second time, Sopht is honored to be included among the 1,261 startups driving forward sustainable innovation across the French ecosystem.

A landscape in motion

The mapping showcases an impressive momentum: France is no longer just innovating, it’s accelerating, inspiring, and exporting.

In just two years, the numbers speak for themselves:
+10% more impact startups, +7% increase in jobs created, +8% rise in funds raised.
But beyond the numbers, it’s an entire ecosystem that’s gaining structure, attracting talent, and growing stronger. Impact is no longer a side topic — it’s becoming central to how businesses, products, and growth models are conceived.

A tool for insight, not an end goal

This mapping isn’t just a directory. It reflects a broader trend, a shared desire among many companies to build differently. It helps identify emerging dynamics, better understand funding challenges, and connect those working toward a common purpose.

What it tells us about the future

This movement is not confined within borders. Many of these startups now have the ambition and capacity to scale, both in France and internationally. The 2025 mapping is not just a snapshot in time, it’s also a launchpad for those championing a new vision of innovation.

As Caroline Neyron, Managing Director of Mouvement Impact France, puts it:

“The 2025 mapping reveals the remarkable maturity of impact startups. Not only are they finding their market, but they’re also aiming for international expansion, even in a challenging economic context. This dynamism is a key indicator of their growth potential and their central role in today’s and tomorrow’s economy.”

A big thank you to the teams at France Digitale, Bpifrance Le Hub, and Mouvement Impact France for their work, and congratulations to all the startups featured this year.
