Capturing CO2 is important, but what can we do with it? Surprising but true, CO2 is a necessary raw material for several promising fields such as greenhouse or algae cultivation, the production of medicines, food preservation etc.
CO2 is also a gas of the future which, combined with hydrogen, can synthesize lots of hydrocarbons (ethanol, methanol, synthesis gas, etc.).
How does it work?
Thanks to a technologic jewel called CarbonCloud®, a patented and innovative technology that uses cryogenics to separate, isolate and store CO2. The extreme cold allows the isolation of CO2 and the different gases, more precisely, it is the direct contact of liquid nitrogen with the industrial fumes that allows the creation of “CO2 flakes”. We can guarantee that you won’t find these CO2 flakes on your ski slopes.
A promising future
3.5 million raised in 2022 , this is a turning point for the company, which will be able to install a second machine capable of recovering 20 tones of CO2 per day by 2023.
Their aim is then to industrialize these machines to meet the strong demand from industrialists on the French and European markets. By 2025, the company hopes to install at least 40 units at various industrial sites.
